Growing up, food was the heart and soul of our family. Family dinners brought us together to celebrate our accomplishments, share love, and create laughter. My journey in the kitchen began with my grandmother, Sallie. As I learned my way around the stove and helped prepare our meals, she often remarked how much I reminded her of her sister, Inez.

Holidays were especially magical, with the excitement revolving around the desserts—my mother, Shelia, took on that delicious responsibility. Baking was one of her greatest joys, and she made sure our holiday tables overflowed with her sweet creations.

When I reflect on those cherished moments, I see Sallie, Inez, and Shelia (S.I.S) surrounding me.
