Our Inspiration
Growing up, food was always a vital part of our family and its foundation. Family dinners were about everyone joining around to share accomplishments, love, and laughter. My introduction to the kitchen started with my grandmother, Sallie. As I learned my way around and contributed to our dinners, she often said I reminded her of her sister. Her name was Inez. When holidays came around the excitement was always centered around the desserts, that was my mom's job, Shelia. Baking was one of my mother's favorite pastimes. She made sure to have our tables overflowing every holiday with her desserts.
When I reflect on that time shared. I see Sallie, Inez, and Shelia (S.I.S)
S.I.S Cakes is an ode to family and a reflection of those precious memories.
